As the annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work approaches on April 28, it's a poignant moment for us at TotalEnergies Corbion to reflect on our unwavering commitment to safety, a fundamental pillar of our core values. This year, we're gearing up to celebrate this significant day on April 26 with a lineup of engaging and informative activities at our Rayong site.

Fostering safety excellence with contractors

We started the day setting the stage for on-site engagements with our esteemed contractors. We're thrilled to kickstart the day with activities designed to recognize and reinforce safety excellence:

• BBS Winner Celebration: We'll shine a spotlight on the winner of the Behavior Based Safety Observation (BBS) for 2023 in the contractor category. This accolade honors outstanding safety practices, underscoring the importance of a safety-first mindset.

• PPE Demonstrations: Our contractors will lead demonstrations highlighting the proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). From fall harnesses to hard hats and gloves, these sessions aim to empower our workforce with crucial safety knowledge.

Driving safety innovation from within

As the day progressed, our focus shifted to internal initiatives and safety campaigns that paved the way for a safer work environment:

• Safety Suggestions Contest 2024: This year, we were inundated with proposals from 20 enthusiastic teams. After rigorous evaluation, we narrowed it down to three finalists. Stay tuned as we unveiled the winning team, whose innovative ideas shaped the future of safety at TECT.

• PPE/Company Uniform Upgrade: We provided a progress update on our ongoing project to upgrade PPE and company uniforms. The transition to high-performance flame-retardant fabric was well underway, with prototypes of work trousers and jackets already undergoing rigorous testing by our dedicated employees.

• Hand Safety Campaign Launch: Inspired by TotalEnergies Polymers' recent initiative, we were excited to launch a new Occupational Safety campaign focused on Hand Safety. This initiative underscored the critical importance of hand safety in the workplace and aimed to reduce hand injuries. Drawing from TotalEnergies Corbion's success in reducing recordable accidents, particularly hand injuries, we were reminded of the paramount importance of prioritizing hand safety in our daily operations.
